Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr. is coming to the big screen again with the remake of Fernando Poe Jr original ‘Ang Panday.’ The movie will be opened to theaters on December 25, 2009 as part of the Metro Manila Film Festival. GMA Films and Imus Productions produce the remake film.
Ang Panday is a remake of the Filipino classic Panday, which was created by Carlo J. Caparas Bong Revilla will play the role of Flavio (the role popularized by the late action king Fernando Poe Jr.) while Lizardo will be characterized this time by Philip Salvador. Iza Calzado to play the love interest of Flavio.
Joining the casts are Rhian Ramos, Geoff Eigenman and Robert Villar.
The production cost of this movie is at estimated 70 million pesos and it shows in the highly improved computer graphics used in the movie.
